Champion Forest Baptist Church has an amazing history. Through 35 years, you can trace the wonderful work of God and the faithfulness of the people of God. But if you look closer there are some lessons to learn from our history that apply to where we are right now. Notice on the graph, you will see periods of growth, periods of leveling off, and in some cases, small declines. The leveling and declining periods were times when we ran out of space or became limited by our facilities. Through the years, our church has been faithful to step up and provide the needed space along with the parking to grow again. And every time that you have stepped up, God has continued to bless. You will notice those periods over and over through the history of our church...we are there again.

God has positioned Champion Forest Baptist Church at a cultural crossroads. Houston's population is exploding, and many of our new neighbors and coworkers have no professed faith or church home. It's clear that God has ordained this moment in the life of CFBC to usher in a new and exciting season of ministry and outreach.

The children's ministry is phenomenal. It is just a fantastic ministry. Most people I know come to this church starting out because they found a place for their kids to go. But I know that the big challenge there is: they are really, really tight for space. Robert Cossick

Through our Sunday School small groups, we are already building relationships and bridging divides. We are partnering with local ministries to care for the spiritual and physical needs of the people of Houston. We are following our "Great Commission" calling to go out into our world and make disciples of Jesus Christ.

To continue and expand this ministry to our community, we must renovate and expand the facility space we use. We need room to grow during our "small group" Bible study hours, to reach the full potential at our current location. By expanding the Sunday School and Bible study space, we can have the opportunity to welcome even more people into the family of God. On Sunday January 20th, the church overwhelmingly voted to approve the Building Committee recommendation and the construction of needed space. It is time now to begin moving forward once again at CFBC. It is time now for you to begin praying about what your Impact will be.
